Marie & Darren ~ The Moat House (part 3)

It’s been so long since part 2 to my post on Marie & Darren’s wedding at The Moat House, Acton Trussell… this summer has been totally amazing and I have found myself totally unable to get into blogging! I will make a real effort now to get back into it.

once Marie & Darren had taken some time to talk with their guests, I took them for a walk around The Moat House grounds to take their couple shots. In the beautiful sunlight we managed to get some beautiful images.

Back at The Moat House, it was time for their Wedding breakfast with speeches first

time for gifts, friends and laughter…

time for all to gather around the cake,

take your places to watch the first dance…

thank you to Marie & Darren for letting me post some of their wedding images. X

Don’t put off what you can do today…

As this weekend sees the start of my insane summer of weddings… I want to remind you all that you can still take advantage of my current ‘Full Day/Platinum package’ price until September the 1st for any 2019/2020 date.

From September 1st my prices will be increasing for 2019 and will also include within my brochure, my 2020 prices, so I thought it only fair to remind anyone thinking of booking me…do so before September and you will save!

If you are looking for a photographer who wants 1…to capture your day, the real moments, the ‘vibe of the day’ 2…your real beauty, with a more candid or reportage style…. look no further, stop, I’m here!

Let’s meet up for a cuppa and discuss your big day!

Summer Family-Shoots

It’s at this time of the year, along with my hay fever…that I get lots of fabulous bookings for family photo-shoots.

I am so lucky that I have Warley Woods on my doorstep, a lot of the families who book me also have a special connection with Warley Woods, it’s such a fabulous retreat for all local residents…

I also like to photograph families in other locations and a new favourite of mine now has to be, The Confetti Flower Fields.

I’m really looking forwards to next Sunday, when I head back to the gorgeous field of flowers… to meet up with my families who have booked with me for this year.

I will be visiting the Confetti Cafe quite a few times too…. quite a few cakes will be eaten and cold drinks bought, especially when word is it’s going to be mega hot!

I’ll be there the following Sunday too… so I get to enjoy two beautiful days in the flowers….

Gorcott Hall – Helen & Lee (part 3)

The reception room was decorated beautifully, by Make me smile Balloons and Events with floral displays by Behind the Back Garden,

in pride of place, the cake by Baa Baa Bakery.

Helen & Lee’s guests took their seats, and awaited the arrival of the couple…

The speeches were well received before the fabulous afternoon tea…

Lou & I took an hour out to leave the guests to eat and chat without our camera’s trained on them and we returned just in time to see Annie’s Antics Ice Cream van arrive, which caused a stir…such a fabulous idea…

Whilst the band set up, evening guests arrived and the evening reception began,

As the evening progressed it was time for the cutting of the cake…

followed by the first dance…

it was time for a bit of a boogie!

I took to opportunity to suggest a ‘halo’ shot, outside… I think it rounds off Helen & Lee’s images perfectly.

Thank you to Helen & Lee for choosing me as their wedding photographer. Both myself and Louise had a fabulous day capturing special moments from their day.

Gorcott Hall Helen & Lee (part 2)

As the music from harpist Lizzie Peacock played, Helen was led down the isle by her father, the proudest man present that day, besides Lee of course.

Waiting along side Lee, their beloved dog, Paddy…the Schnauzer

Gorcott Hall boasts a most intimate ceremony room, very atmospheric and beautiful. Perfect for a wedding.

As Lee & Helen’s family’s and close friends looked on, Helen & Lee exchanged vows and were married…

With the nerve wracking part of the day over… Helen & Lee could now relax knowing it was now time to mingle, chat and speak with loved ones who were all eager to congratulate them both..

moving into the dining room of Gorcott Hall for drinks and canapes

A break in the cloud allowed us to trek outside for some group photographs

Whilst their guests made their way into the reception room, myself and Louise took the time to get some couple shots of the newly married couple…

part 3….coming soon……..

Gorcott Hall ~ Helen & Lee (part 1)

On the 31st March I made my way to Gorcott Hall

to photograph the wedding of Helen & Lee

I’d met Helen through Louis Howard, who had previously photographed Helen & Lee’s dog, Paddy. Louis is a dear friend of mine and photographer of bumps, babies, doggies and Fine art portraiture, you can see more of her work here

Louis had recommended me to Helen & Lee as a wedding photographer and I suggested she join me as second photographer on the day.

We met early and took around the venue to get an idea of the best areas for couple portraits etc. We were given a very much needed cup of tea and we had a catch up and gossip before we went to find Helen to capture her Bride prep.

Make-up by Claire Bache

Whilst Helen had her hair and make-up done, Louis and I photographed THAT DRESS and a few details…

Helen had her friends and family around her on her wedding morning…including her baby dog, Paddy the Schnauzer!

The time ran away with us and it was time for Helen to get into her beautiful wedding dress…

I adore this picture, Helen’s flower girl… looking at her adoringly ‘when I grow up…’

Helen’s Mum helped to fasten the dress whilst Claire added the finishing touches to Helen’s make-up

Time to head downstairs to see Dad, and to wait for the registra…

Meanwhile Lee was having a giggle with his best man…

part 2 coming soon….

The Mill Barns, Alvery ~ Emma & John (part 2)

The doors swung open and Dylan and Joel ran up the isle towards their Dad, John. Each carrying a balloon. They looked so happy and excited to see their parents were about to marry.

Emma looked simply stunning, led down the isle by her proud Dad,

As Mum and Dad made their vows in-front of close friends and family, Dylan and Joel played, unfazed by it all…

The Mill Barns is a perfect venue come rain, shine or SNOW! Just as the I do’s were being said, it began to fall, heavily. In-front of the most beautiful floral arch supplied by Lilberts Event Hire, Emma & John were married.

In the words of Emma from the day, its was time for ‘the party’!

The details were beautiful,  impeccable styling….THAT CAKE!

Time to take their seats for the speeches, including a touching Bridesmaids speech by Emma’s best friends. Followed by a quirky serve yourself carvery wedding breakfast, with chef hats and aprons for a man of each table!

A few shots of the awesome carvery and then I went on my break, leaving the men hard at work, carving!

Time for some shoots of this gorgeous couple…

Let’s cut that amazing cake….

Time for my favourite part… the First Dance… I am always an emotional wreck at this point!

Party time!

Finally, reception time when everyone can let their hair down! The end of a totally perfect day. Thank you to Emma & John for letting me be a part of it. I wish them all the best for their life together xxx
